ADORE named most romantic lyrics by VIBE... Most romantic song lyrics, according to VIBE:

"And I find myself thanking your mother/ For giving birth to a saint/ My spirit flies when I say your name." Amel Larrieux, Make Me Whole, 1999. 3. "So you're having my baby/And it means so much to me/ There's nothing more precious/Than to raise a family." Jodeci, Forever My Lady, 1991. 4. "You're ruling the way that I move, and i breathe your air" Sade, Cherish the Day, 1992. 5. "If my words don't come together/ Listen to the melody, 'cause my love is in there hiding." Donny Hathaway, A Song for You, 1971. I agree with the top choice, but the rest sounds limited... Jodeci???  Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

Those lines are definitely among the most romantic lyrics of all time. I wrote those exact lines from Adore on a girl's birthday card once and she practically creamed!
The Jodeci selection confuses me, too, but for a different reason. I loved Jodeci in their heyday, and Devante definitely wrote some romantic lyrics. But "So you're having my baby and that means so much to me"?? Blah. | |

Wait, i see that they also have a Most Romantic Movies top 5 list...uh huh, Love and Basketball, #4.
They've lost all credibility... I still agree with "Adore"... Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

For the guys out there...
back in high school me and friend, considering our selves to be studs, would routinly run through obscure prince tracks to find lines that we could use/write for girls  ))
ha ha ! 'ooh.. you're not like other guys', 'you're really different'. and the best one ... 'how do you make this stuff up... you are incredible' ha ha just some of the responses !! However, when I finally got married my wife told me right away that she didn't want to hear anything that sounded anything Prince-like !@ So I had to stop using the Prince lines !!!
