CORRECTION: Prince (The Gold Experience) I posted a topic earlier but the post was misleading and erroneous. Here is the corrected post: I know Nona Gaye was credited for being on "We March", but is that her voice also in the background and speaking "I Love You" on the track before it called "Sshh". There is a female voice singing alongside Prince's background harmonies but slightly louder than his. I'm positive its not Prince's voice because the same voice singing the high harmony is the same female voice that says "I Love You" mid-song.

I don't care who it is, it's such a great album. I only dislike "Shy". Everything else is tops.
However, in The Beautiful Experience short form video, I always got the impression that Nona Gaye was doing the vocals. The only women around him at the time, to my knowledge, was Nona and Mayte. It sure doesn't sound like Mayte's voice, to me. Nona was on a lot of stuff, and around him a lot, during that time period, so it's probably a safe assumption that it's her. I could stand corrected at some point. And no surprise, picture #319 (for November 16, 2009) in my 365 project just happens to be: [Edited 11/16/09 0:29am]

Agree. This is one of my favorite albums ever. Oddly enough, "We March" is the one track I skip. Also, I really like the picture you posted. Did you use photoshop for the color/black & white effect? "New Power slide...."

Agreed, great picture Ernest. But I love the song shy. It's one of my favourites! "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

Yes. He was collaborating with Nona around the time this was recorded and those are her vocals on Shhh. [Edited 11/16/09 12:00pm]

I know, this is slightly off topic, but kind of related: does anyone else find it odd that on Exodus, Rain Ivana is credited as NPG Operator, when it is clearly Mayte? Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com

Yeah, the song just never clicked w/ me. It seems lazy, and although the story is sort of interesting, the arrangement and overall musical part of it is just awful to me. In fact, when I ripped the CD to my computer, I skipped that song all together. I rarely even think about it being on the CD. I ripped the NPG Operated before and after "319" as one track so I have as much as the album as possible to listen to. It sort of seems natural to go from "319" to "Billy Jack Bitch". They're both funk workouts, and go hand in hand when played back to back.
