EXCLUSIVE: PRINCE TO PLAY IN UK IN JUNE 2003 Although the summer festivals may seem miles away, big names are already being booked for the GLASTONBURY, V2003 and READING and LEEDS festivals.
YES, I KNOW, WRONG FORUM, BUT THE CONCERTS FORUM SEEMS DEAD AND THIS PIECE OF NEWS IS TOO IMPORTANT TO LEAVE UNANNOUNCED TO THE WORLD!!! As ever, Glastonbury's line-up is attracting speculation, but organisers may announce a final bill when tickets go on sale in March. Last year the bands were kept under wraps until just days before, although most of the main acts had already hinted they would appear. As long as a licence appeal is successful, REM will definitely headline on the first night of the festival (June 27). Festival sources have told NME.COM that a "special guest" will play just before the American rockers, although rumours David Gray will appear are currently unconfirmed. Radiohead are a good bet for the following evening, with their album due in June and the band looking for a huge comeback show. The Sunday headline slot is strongly rumoured to be Prince. Michael Eavis usually ends the festival with a veteran or legend - last year veteran rocker Rod Stewart played, in 2000, David Bowie. LINK: http://www.nme.com/news/103894.htm

Prince will join the stage with Pulp, playing a special jam of Wickerman blended into Joy In Repetition. Meanwhile we'll all be waiting for Prince at the Celebration at Paisley Park, sweating under the broken aircon while Brother Jules spins Graffiti Bridge. Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

hey sabaisabai, cool that you like pulp - always been a favourite of mine - their latest has been criminally overlooked, although I have to say Wickerman is one I skip. Have you got the hits with the extra track - any good?

Wickerman is one of my fave tracks off the album I haven't got the greatest hits and probably won't get it for just one track. After being a completist with Prince I've tried avoiding that with Pulp and just enjoy the music without going crazy over it. By the title I'd imagine Last Day of the Miner's Strike to be similar to Wickerman. I'm going to try getting it off P2P, which has even been endorsed by Pulp themselves.
