Go shorty, it's your birthday? LMFAO, sure that's one of the best ever.
The best opening line of any song I know is Bruce Springsteen's "It's Hard to be a Saint in the City" - "I had skin like leather, and the diamond-hard look of a cobra I was born blue and weathered, then I burst just like a supernova."

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life." -- that's not on the list? Bon Jovi's random lyric makes it instead? I guess I shouldn't be mad at someone's arbitrary opinion but I can say it's pretty lame.

14. "There must be some kind of way out of here, said the joker to the thief"
--Jimi Hendrix's "All Along the Watchtower That should be credited to Bob Dylan

16. "Pigs, they tend to wiggle when they walk"
--Pavement's "Stereo" What kind of an intro is that? "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

I was looking for:
"I guess I should've know by the way you parked your car sideways that it wouldn't last" It fits much better with all these other funny, weird and bizarre quotes.

"the day I met you sugar, you were on your way to be wed"
One of the best opening line... simply because it's in one of the best songs in the history of popmusic. Someone who composes and records a song like that deserves a statute and that song should be listed in any top "whatever" dealing with popmusic of the last 50 years (even best guitar solo, though there isn't one in it but still!) although "in france a skinny man died of the big disease with the little name" is a pretty good opening line too ... but maybe too serious
