Comeback I have had Crystal Ball/The Truth since it came out and ONLY today while I had The Truth on in the background did I realize how incredible this song is!!! Absolutely gorgeous and SAD!!! I can only imagine (and I'm sure it's probably been verified) that this is Prince dealing with the loss of his child. That "tears go here" section at the end gave me goosebumps. And that length is perfect...2 minutes of pure melancholy and longing and most importantly, resolve. Really good stuff.

I love this song. I think it's gorgeous. It got my hopes up for his future work at the time. Alas, (said in theatrical manner,) i've not been fussed by any of his releases since. | |
