I get this song. Prince is talking a bunch of smack because his flame wasn't cooperating with him like the other women usually do. This woman is strong. She's not so impressed by him to give in to him so easily. His game is kind of weak so she's making Prince work hard before she gives him her hand. Can you believe the offensive gesture he throws her way in the Chocolate Box video? He says he doesn't have no time to waste if she ain't making bank and scared of what a brother got to say? I doubt he has Bria in mind because she studied to become a Jehovah's Witness although Prince doesn't sound too Jehovah Witness-like to me in this song. Then again maybe he does.
