Does anyone have any photos of prince's studios before Paisley Park? Uptown or of the studio The Warehouse?!!!

Uptown is a section of town, centering on West Lake Ave and Hennepin Avenue, not a studio specifically.

Calhoun Square is a very small mall of sorts, and I worked in there. It's just a very trendy part of Minneapolis. Book stores, coffee shops, record stores, etc. Of course there's also a grocery store, and a Taco Bell, so go figure about "trendy".

The Warehouse is on a video, secretly filming a rehearsal on June 7, 1984 before the infamous First Avenue birthday gig. It was just a concrete building, rather nondescript.

There are pictures of his homes on Kiowa Trial and Galpin. Both of the homes have since been demolished by Prince, although he still owns the property. Galpin is about a mile from Paisley Park. Kiowa Trial is a bit further off.

I was just recently thinking about when the NPG store was in Uptown and how I used to love going in there. I was there for the midnight release of The Gold Experience. I still have the T shirt (never worn) and phone card which I also never used and it still has the scratch off foil over the PIN. Looking back, I wish I bought a lot more stuff there like the Rock N Rolls Alive T shirt that said something like "Sorry Lenny" on the back.

Yeah, the NPG store was almost right across from the Taco Bell there on W. Lake. It faced the back entrance of Calhoun Square.

When I lived in Minneapolis in 1997, the store had since closed, but I walked by it every day when I worked in Calhoun Square at City Looks Salon.

That's just a home studio. It's a nice way of him to say "I recorded this at home in Minneapolis".

He referenced Uptown a lot. He yelled "Hello Uptown" in SOTT movie, but we know that audio was recorded elsewhere, not in the US, and the video was shot at Paisley Park, not that close to the Uptown area at all.

The first pic is from Moonsound Studios (Prince's first studio). Nowhere near Uptown. As Ernest said, Uptown is a section of town, not a studio. Genius.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Exactly. He said "Darling Nikki" was recorded "Somewhere close to where u live". That doesn't mean he was in Oklahoma City just off the 2600 block of 51st Street talking about some hooker. LOL
