the REAL sequel to Purple Rain is...... "Sign O The Times!!!!!"
Just an observation/opinion on my part.... I was just watching the Sign O The Times dvd and to me it seems like the real sequel to the Purple Rain movie. Yes I know that "Graffiti Bridge" is supposed to be the sequel BUT... In "Sign O The Times," Prince still looks very similar to his character in "Purple Rain"...and watching S.O.T. feels to me like I'm watching a sequel to Purple Rain... Just imagine that the kid has a new band and is performing a concert... and yes I realize that S.O.T. doesn't really have a plot or dialogue or characters, but still, that's what it seems like to me... Like Purple Rain is followed by S.O.T. and then Graffiti Bridge follows that. Graffiti Bridge is so completely different from Purple Rain, both in vibe and in the way it looks, that it really doesn't seem like it has any relation to Purple Rain. And on another note, I just recently got the remastered, Canadian dvd version of Sign O The Times (after years of owning the Brazilian version) and it is SOOOO much better, the colors are so much more vibrant and brighter, it feels like I am watching the movie for the first time!
