Did Prince collaborate w/ Full Force? I was listening to Full Force's tune "Alice" the other day.
The rhythm guitar in there sounds just like our man. In case you were wondering how Prince and Full Force's paths may have crossed, the closest link I can think of is Krush Groove, with Prince singing on Sheila E's 'Holly Rock.' I also remember the dude lip-syncing over Prince's scream part. Thanks if anyone has any info. Below: Full Force Sheila E in Krush Groove (below) Snare drum pound on the 2 & 4

"Oh Sheila" sounds like a Prince songs, that doesn't mean they collaborated w/ Ready For The World. Point being, people copied Prince's sound a LOT. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, as they say.
There wasn't Prince screaming in "Hollyrock". You're thinking of "A Love Bizarre", and one of her band members lip syncing Prince's part, not Full Force. That dude was probably Stef Birnbaum, who was also in Pablo Cruise in the 70's, or could have been another member whom I'm not remembering. The rhythm guitar in "Alice" isn't that indicative of Prince. It hints at it, but overall.....eh. Full Force had their own rhythm heavy sound, not that familiar to Prince's music.

(soon come) And PS I love "Hollyrock" more than "A Love Bizarre". Something about that song was always so fun and funky to me. St. Paul sings part of "Hollyrock" in a redneck country style, while playing an acoustic guitar, and it's HYSTERICAL! He's done it on the live cam Q&A sessions w/ him and Susannah (once while they were sitting on Susannah's deck in L.A. one Sunday morning while waiting on Clare Fisher's son to show up and talk terms for the new album).
