Should Prince make an album with George Clinton?

Should prince make an entire album with George Clinton.
Prince is someone who has been in an awe of George clinton & the same goes for george clinton on prince. Should they make an album together we could experience
a masterpiece.

I meant a whole album with joint collobarations and as for the cinderella theory
there was no prince involvement george was signed to his label that's it.
As for hey man smell my finger we don't know if prince was involved.
I know the big pump was credited to prince but come off it that's something
we don't expect from Prince & George Clinton
We can funk, paradigm soul pshycodelecide & we do this are some examples.

prince had no creative input on the cinderella theory and wrote one song for hey man, and one for how late Do U ...

So that's hardly a collaboration

Been there done that. George is too high these days anyway.

I'd like Prince to have a guitar-off with Santana on a track.

He still needs to do a Janet duet, and let Jam/Lewis in on it. I don't want Janet on a "Prince production" track. I want a medium of both.

His voice would actually blend well w/ Eric Clapton I think. Two great guitarists like that on a track....get at it, boys!

Was Prince behind George Clinton's album Hey Man Smell My Finger.
Some of the trax I believe sound very prince like in sound.
Anyway should Prince & George Clinton do an album together.
Imagine what it would sound like.

I don't think Prince was responsible for the album as a whole, but I also don't believe the accepted "official" stance that he only appears on Big Pump, either.
I believe... (and this is only what I hear as an obsessed fan of BOTH artists, not based on anything I've ever read or any "inside" knowledge) that Prince is sprinkled throughout the album (and Cinderella Theory, as well). George has often said of his various projects with Prince: "I sent him the tapes, he P'd on them, and sent them back." My guess is Prince added parts here and there and left it up to George to decide what to use and how to mix it. True, this is not his usual M.O., he (in)famously completely reworked Kate Bush's Why Should I Love You, far beyond her and her producer's wishes. But, with George, I believe he was starstruck from working with one of his heroes (as he would later be with Larry Graham), and was perhaps a little shy about second guessing the funk legend.

Regardless, he has played a couple of the tracks live (I particularly love the DNA Lounge interpretation of Get Satisfied), so if he didn't work on them, he at least covered a couple.

Speaking of Larry, I also don't believe Prince's true writing credits on GCS2000 are limited to co-writing Utopia with Larry. In my opinion it is obvious Love 4 1another, is a Prince track and likely several other songs are as well.

I remember when figuring out what was really Prince in disguise involved a lot of investigation with a healthy dose of speculation. It wasn't until later that we had the resources of Uptown, The Vault, the internet, to help clarify the mystery & confusion. All I'm saying is how do we KNOW that the information we have compiled via these and other sources is 100% accurate? I think it's close, but reckon there are still a few hidden or unknown appearances of Prince on other artists works.

As to what a collaboration would sound like? The known collaborations are: the remixes on the Tweakin' 12", We Can Funk from GB, Big Pump and Paradigm (on George's How Late Do U Have 2BB4UR Absent?). Also, George covered Erotic City on the PCU soundtrack/E.P.
I forgot We Do This on the aftershow disc of One Nite Alone... Live!
...and then there's some unreleased outtakes...I THINK I'm done now.

Where have you been? Cinderella Theory by George Clinton was done with Prince and it sucks. Smell my Finger was DONE at Paisley Park and one song has writing credits with Prince which also sucks. Graffiti Bridge has them both working together. Then there is the not too recent song...Paradigm that they both 'peed' on as they say smile THAT song was funky and cool!

So do your due dilegence and search this stuff out before you post MAN! mad

So you want me to show dilgence and search this out before I post man
You should pay more attention to the thread before you comment.
Thought I would let you know I mentioned the tracks prince & george clinton worked on. It.s mentioned somewhere in the thread.
The big pump I believe it's a throw away track but other would hit the charts with that. I have heard tracks in england with a similar vibe in the charts.
I am a funk fiend I know my p funk & princes music.
Cinderella theory wasn't done with prince if you read the credits you will know
but then again prince might be behind it who knows.
Hey man smell my finger is a brilliant album. It's just that people don't understand it.
Imagine prince and george clinton meets funkadelic/parliament what it would sound like.

I really haven't enjoyed GC's later albums, post-TAPOAFOMS. There were a few absolute monster jams on How Late..., I thought Paradigm was a highlight. I'd love to hear George with Prince in the producer's role, as well as duetting on the album, because the P-funk is a bit too commercial hiphop for me these days. A little bit of erotic city, a little bit of Hey Man, a little bit of nasty joint 2 joint style P grooves...it would be awesome.

As long as George doesn't try to sing a melody...

Not that Mr. C. is not funky but personally speaking, I feel GC is waaaayyy past his prime. What could he bring to the table of funk that he hasn't rehashed? I'm gonna say no ...
Peace ... & Stay Funky ...
