I like Shelia E. the best because she had style.
But lets be for real, Prince beat the hell out the drums in the Rave concert. I loved that. I love a Man who:

I'm a John B. fan
But I gotta defend Bobby and Kirk. Whilst they're not as flash as the others, they were definately solid players. Cora too. Basically, there's no such thing as a bad Prince drummer

Bobby Z & Sheila E for overall 'Purple presence'
Gotta Give it 2 Bobby for carrying it and believing in Prince to the point of devotion, before Prince even had a record. Plus according to Pepe(94 East) Bobby drummed with them too. Bobby was pretty good to carry and duplicate music from the albums, he played well to interpret the album to live. A good variation of songs from Bambi to Head, Why U Wanna Treat me So Bad, Sexuality, All the Critics Something In the Water those were the raw years, he had the look & presence Sheila for similar to what I said about Bobby as far as taking the album drumming and making it live, I like that Sheila didn't show off her 'skills' when playing live, she play the song, and then showed some skill only where permitted. She of course didn't have the drumming time that Bobby did, with Prince. I'll leave out her protege time, because she was more the frontman than drummer

I like Michael B. - his drumming style is powerful and catchy. But on the other hand - I can't take my eyes of Sheila on SOTT dvd.. But I'm sure everyone will agree Kirk was the worst.. What are your favorites? John Blackwell, Bobby Z..? John Blackwell Michael Bland Sheila E. Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

For me, Sheila E! No doubt about that.
I think she is the most versatile of them all. Besides, she just brings out the best in Prince I think, when they perform together.
