Prince MAYBE staying a bit longer in France

It is also hoped that these concerts will be the beginning of other things, perhaps a residence”, entrusted finally Mr. Bernardin.

Would be nice. Get the picture reading the French but nothing solid that anything is definite. Would give more time for travel planning though.

According to le Parisien Prince could stay in Paris some time and several dates would be in preparation, in small or large rooms. L’Olympia, slipper lobster, the zenith.

Now this is looking good..... biggrin

This is what he did in London, at first it was 7 then it jumped to 21 ...oh maybe 7 nights and days every Sunday which is the 7th Day for 7 Weeks ....

I need Help.... lol

Okay, so it seems that Prince will be well to the slipper lobster Monday.

At this time we know that this will be first and foremost that will give a kind of press conference. Might then that the artist is a showcase (4-5 titles?).

It is still well known how places will be on sale and especially at what price. It does not seem to be also private that could believe.

RTL2 would propose tickets to win in an emission between 10 pm and midnight on Sunday. biggrin

I always thought that Europeans embrace musicians more wholeheartedly than Americans do. It's why we lose so many artists to Europe when it comes to touring or even choosing a place to live. It's human nature to go where you feel most appreciated. Americans are too critical and always looking to find dirt on their idols. I think that setting up the residencies makes Prince feel that the real fans are the ones who're going to show up. Someone who really doesn't like him too much or is a closet hater isn't likely to shell out airfare, hotel and the ticket price. Hopefully Prince does tour the United States of Division again I for one would enjoy it immensely.

This can be cool, Alejandro Jodorowsky lives in France, so my favorite artists will be on the same place. Cool.

Good God I don't think that's true. America can be slagged for many things but I think it respects getting to the top and staying there. In the UK they love to vote for the underdog and as soon as that individual has any sniff of confidence the public and media tear in to them like a pack of dogs. Prince loves America you can absolutely tell so don't fret about that. I think Prince is just trying to build up his profile. France is a good place for this as along with Germany it defines Europe-The UK in its own way has very little cultural association with the rest of the EU

I think Europe, Paris, France in particular, does appreciate alot of artists more, and particularly appreciates the substance of artists. I dont think playing there has anything to do w/ expecting "real" fans to show up. Alot of "real" fans cant afford a hotel, airfare, and meals for a Prince concert although we love and appreciate the brother just the same. I think artists like to go where the energy intercourse feels the best. P has spoken about how much he loved to play Detroit, and that aint exactly a cote d azur.
