When prince creativity is questioned Having experienced the creativity of prince's music I believe prince has spoilt us with so many albums over the years. We have critisized his brilliant musical
talents. How many other musicians would have an album out every year & fantastic bootlegs concerts his a singer multi instrumentalist producer arranger etc.. Is quantity better then quality? Take emancipation for instance some would like 10 songs from it some would like 30. Imagine if 10 were released the others wouldn't have heard the other 20. Now to the point when prine creativity is questioned from albums from 4U to Lotus flower I throughly enjoy his music. Some album,s are better then others but it's the experiences I experienced, I am challenged as a listener. I personally would love a funk album but that remains to be seen.

I like that. I was listening to 3121 the other night and thinking if that had been released in the late 90's.....

I've never questioned Prince's musical abilities. I like most all his songs. (Except God on the Hits, I can't make it past 30 seconds)
He is a musical genius. A very rare performer usually seen once in a generation if we're lucky. I DO question some of his hairstyles, but that's a different discussion. LOL. I love a Man who:

Is quality better than quantity? This is a tough question to answer.
I would normally say, quality takes preference for me. However, as his fan base includes peoples who like many different genres and he's so versatile and able to play from all, in his case maybe quantity is better. Fans can pick and choose what they like from each album. If he was making music just for himself and the fame, I think he'd release less, putting the gems on one cd every now and then. He must surely know which tracks, stand out above the rest. But for fans he probably releases more. Even though it puts him in hot water from time to time.
