I think that's got more to do with the bitching, not sexual preferance ! Gay "Guy's" not so much women do bitch the hell out of somethings... Please do not tell me that Prince does not have a Negative Gay/Straight Fan base and Press Media ... He's a rebal so he rebels .....he don't care if your black/white/pink/blue/gay...whatever ...he's travelled the world and yes he been pis**d on by all types.... JUST FEEL BETTER, FEEL GOOD, FEEL WONDERFUL .....EYE DON’T KNOW WHAT U THOUGHT WHEN U SPIT IN MY FACE BUT THIS DIMENSION AIN’T THE TIME OR THE PLACE..... Actually I can tell you that Prince loves all his fans whether straight or gay. I have seen for myself at a concert where a gay man openly gesture to Prince saying "I love you" and Prince nodding in appreciation. So he does not hate his gay fans. [Edited 10/16/09 9:12am]

I'm so glad I'm not the only gay person in here who wasn't offended by that. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

It's about time someone mentioned this. The first time that I saw Prince do the hand gesture was during the ONA tour and yes I thought it was tactless. I haven't watched the lastest performance but did he also make a disgust face at the same time. I just remember him doing that and being so disapointed in him. It's his music and his show so he can do what he wants but it is sad that he's turned his back on what I'm sure is a sizeable part of his fanbase. I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I remember the young Prince and he wasn't like this. Of course, our views tend to change as we get older but like I said he really disapointed me.

Why are you taking what I have to say and going off on a tangent with it. I know straight men who like being straight and this is just my observation. It has nothing to do with gays. [Edited 10/16/09 6:37am] It does have something to do with homophobia though. Being offended if someone *thinks* you might be gay suggests you find the idea of being gay somehow unpleasant. If someone on here read a post of mine and assumed I was Black ('cause they can't see me obviously), they'd be wrong - but I wouldn't be offended or even bothered. And if I *were* to reply 'No I'm White through and through, and I want to keep it that way"... well I'd be an idiot and you might reasonably accuse me of racism. If someone were to read a post and assume I was gay... I wouldn't be offended or bothered. Because I see nothing offensive in 'being Gay'. I'm not even going to tell you if I am or not.

He wasn't trying to be funny. He was just being himself. That was his natural gesture because he's gay himself. Andy is a four letter word.
