Prince has been able to do what he has done throughout his life BECAUSE he has fans. Our interest funded his way of life. Why not just stick all your songs in that vault and wait until you die to let people appreciate your talent and live a life of poverty and solitude?
I get sooooo tired of people who get to do what they want to do and make all kinds of money at it bitching about their lives. Try working construction or retail all your life and see how happy you'd be to travel around the world and play music while making tons of money. Interesting, why do people (and your response) assume because someone has money that life is perfect and they get everyting they want? Maybe in front of the cameras--didn't Prince just comment on that...how many times you look for happy and you never see the rich folks there... I'm sure there are exceptions and having money sounds really attractive, but aren't you just a little frightened by the possible strings attached? Look how many "rich" people are really f-ed up. For the most part construction workers have nice physiques and retail workers get discounts don't they? They get to go home at night and snuggle up? And they get to read to their children. Just a few things to be grateful for. ?

Construction workers with nice physiques? Maybe you're watching too much TV. I don't know what construction sites you've been hanging around, but most of those guys work the hell out of themselves and pay for it later in life. We all have problems in life, but not having to worry about money makes many of those problems less pressing.

I'm not saying some money doesn't help, I asked if you ever thought about what might go along with the $$. Anyway, I'm not much of a TV watcher and yes having some money is better than being completely broke--I'm just saying I don't know if its all its cracked up to be.

Often the comments are very personal and seemingly hurtful for the spite of it, which has nothing to do with helpful, honest criticism.
Unfortunately yes I swear the words "HATER" is wayyy over-rated...smh
