He made his music and promoted it and made it available for purchase and you purchased it because you felt like it. Maybe you liked some of the songs or you were curious about it, but it was your own choice.You're free to stop buying his music at any point.

So Prince does not owe any of us anything. He's a free man and he can do whatever he wants and to think otherwise is ridiculous.

Personally I have tapes of Prince so I do like his music, but when people pay 77 dollars a year for videos they can't watch and no updates...that's just wrong. I know he's a busy man and he's really good at his work but you must always put in time for your fans because we are who made him. Without us... he'd be recording in his studio and setting all of his music in a little corner where they'll collect dust. I don't have an acoount at lotusflow3r.com but I know what is the right thing to do which is to provide fans with updates.

I love this thread...I think.

I guess in life everything comes by grace...a bad time to rise above, and a good time to appreciate.

Prince has given us a lot of nice music. I am thankful for that.

My truth is that I would love to spend the rest of my life with Prince as the girl that just hangs around him. Yet more of the truth is the phone never rings...Yet a little more of the truth is, is that If I've loved Prince this long and this hard... forever isn't that much further.

I do not believe "telling the truth" is the issue with many threads. I think some .Orgers are insulted by the way other .Orgers express themselves as concerns Prince. Often the comments are very personal and seemingly hurtful for the spite of it, which has nothing to do with helpful, honest criticism.

How many artists in the past few thousand years weren't appreciated for their contribution to culture during their lifetimes? How many died poor and alone? Prince has been able to do what he has done throughout his life BECAUSE he has fans. Our interest funded his way of life. Why not just stick all your songs in that vault and wait until you die to let people appreciate your talent and live a life of poverty and solitude?

I get sooooo tired of people who get to do what they want to do and make all kinds of money at it bitching about their lives. Try working construction or retail all your life and see how happy you'd be to travel around the world and play music while making tons of money.
