Purple Rain - She didn't screw him over, he was the abusive and controlling one. His relationship w/ Apples was reflected in his relationship w/ the girls in his band, and moreover his father's relationship w/ the mother. The person who was untrustworthy was Prince, to some extent.

Under The Cherry Moon - Their main goal was to get money to get back to Miami (although we wondered how they got to France in the first place). The only lonely ones were the girls that bought Christopher's affections for the night, aka Mrs. Wellington. He went after Mary's money, but ended up falling in love with her.

Graffiti Bridge - No one was out to kill anyone. Aura was there to get the Kid's heart turned in the right direction, and keep him believing in the good side of things. It was the same battle over who is the better band. The love of money is the root of evil. Morris was a business man, and Prince wasn't. (Still isn't, but that's another show.) It was still Prince's old mantra of "money and art don't mix". The movie, as horrid as it was, was just about a power struggle. Good vs. evil. There were no thieves in the temple.
