... when I 1st heard the song, my attention was focused on the chorus of the song. Once I learned the lyrics and back-round to the song, I no longer took the point of view that it was a "bad song". Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

Pussy Control is fantastic. I'm not a huge fan of the squeeling in the chorus, but the rest of the track more than makes up for it. It also contains some very peculiarly feminist lyrics, a move few male songwriters -let alone Prince -would normally pull. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!" | |

I would say... no. I enjoy it. I find it funny and some of the phrasing is quite brilliant, at least to me. "I said mother f*cker I know your reputation and I'm astounded that you're here!"
I don't know, the way it flows is just kinda funny and creative. I think people should take some songs at face value for what they are. It wasn't intended to be Dorothy Parker or Purple Rain or Let's Go Crazy or something. [Edited 10/15/09 23:15pm] | |
