I think that open letter is quite ridiculous and really embarrasing. nod

Not to real fans.

To right..

I really agree with this letter and could have written it myself.

But the other side of the argument is right too, that Prince doesn't owe us anything and has still been producing great music.

But I to do feel that his music lacks the depth that it used to but there are a lot of people out there that will disagree and tell you to go and listen to someone else then.

So, what do we do?

Keep pinning for Prince of old, move on or get with who Prince is today.

I suppose at the end of the day it is just about music and maybe we read into it too and we should just go along for the ride instead.

Maybe we've assigned too much meaning to his early music. Meaning that he didn't deliberately put in there but we picked up on none the less.

We all see his music in a different way, and we all relate to it in different ways. At the end of the day it's what it means to you. And at the end of the day maybe Prince didn't put as much thought into it as we thought he did.

I guess at the end of the day he chooses to be who he chooses to be. I don't know what else to say really.

Maybe he doesn't need us as much anymore. Maybe we don't need him.

Maybe his work here is done...
Shut up already, damn.

Here's a thought.

Maybe all that Prince was ever good at, was to prone a more liberated sexual way of life at times where there was a lot of social hypocrisy. He did that with a great sense of humour and respect for the humanity, in the sense that he had a clue on how sex is important and is closer to love, and God, than one would think. And therefore closer to our passions, mistakes, distractions and weaknesses. And how the truth lies somewhere in between.

In these times of YouPorn, how outdated could Prince's message be ?

Maybe he has realized the world has gone nuttier, and he has chosen to play a part of a Jazz Musician, to stay cool. And looking at Montreux and his recent TV appearances, I almost believe that.

But then again, he shows himself at the Paris Fashion Week, and sets a best-of gig in a beautiful yet bling venue.

If he has one more masterpiece in him, he needs to do what Springsteen did for Nebraska. Take a four-track under his arm and hit the road.

OMG did you read my thoughts!?

I was only thinking this the other day, but you have said it much better than I ever could!

lol lol lol lol
Shut up already, damn.
