P looks great, and sounds like a fun set list. I would also like to know who the new band members are- backup vocal, drummer and keyboard player. Anyone hear P announce during the show?

been scrolling through this subject and notice (some) negativity. so i have the urge to bring some love:
I was there last night (the 17.00 show) and absolutely loved seeing and hearing the artist i have been listening to for 24 years. the setlist was great, having in mind that there are more people that know the "hits" and not the obscure songs and/or B-sides it is a great selection of songs. This way everybody could find something in there. I do not need to hear Prince perform 1999 for the 100th time. but i prefer hearing this over nothing at all. mind you he did girl. i had goosebumps that hit the ceiling. tears in my eyes when he started sometimes it snows' The 1st encore....dude ..... YEAH!!!! He went for the car after this but returned to the stage freaking people out. The audience was a bit boring, had a feeling they did not return the energy Prince was giving. but still it looked like everyone was loving it. The band is good but they looked a bit out of place. i think everybody needs some time to get into it. this gig was planned within a week.so not a lot of time to rehearse. Prince was in paris for fashion week for a while now and everbody was flown in in a hurry. PLUG and Play! in that sense it was good. The sound was good, seeing the building is not made for concerts. they did a great job. Grande Palais gave the gig a special feel myself working in fashion knowing Chanel is having the defilés here every season i know what Prince thought when he attended the fashion show last week. You see he absolutely adores Paris. (and i totally agree). Next time i will be back because Prince IS Paris. we do not stop playing because we grow old , we grow old because we stop playing

http://purplekisstwo.blogspot.com/ Great, thank you very much I watched the video from that fashion show, too. Damn he is always walking that fast. I had a bit to laugh about poor Bria. Sweet how she hoppled behind him because he was too fast. Dancing helps relieve the pain. Soothes your mind, makes you happy again!!!

For anyone at the show, is 'Shake your body down' an MJ/Jacksons cover?
It's my favorite MJ song. "Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion" -- Martha Graham

okay, I only scrolled down in here quickly because I'm making dinner but I just wanted to share that I've been to the 5PM show and it was FABULOUS. Opposite to what I've been expecting, he still looks gorgeous, some of the pics in here don't do him justice at all.
I've been standing on several places, outside the crowd and right in the middle in front of the stage, he even passed me when coming out of the car He's little, skinny, everything we already know but he's really handsome, incredible, he's got a great charisma. And except for some sound problems in the beginning, the show was super, great music choice and I thought there was a lot of atmosphere in there. And all the Bria haters, she was sitting on a balcony like a princess, his princess, looking at him, he looking at her, ha! I've seen some negative reviews but I'll be reading them tonight, I can cope better with that with my stomage filled and my kid in bed

Time for some math. Let's look up when each song was first released:
1999 - 1983 I Feel For You - 1979 Controversy - 1981 Sexy Dancer - 1980 Y U Wanna Treat Me So Bad ? - 1979 Take Me With U - 1984 Anotherloverholenyohead - 1986 Guitar - 2007 Raspberry Beret - 1985 Girl - 1985 All Day, All Night - 1987 I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man - 1987 The 1 U Wanna C - 2007 Sometimes It Snows In April - 1986 Mountains - 1986 Partyman - 1989 Uptown - 1980 Let's Work - 1981 Kiss - 1986 Cool - 1981 All The Critics Love U In Paris - 1982 Cream - 1993 U Got the look - 1987 Now, to determine the average age of the songs played in this concert: determine the age of each song (year of concert - year of song's release), add all those number up, and divide by the number of songs in this concert. 2009 - (( 1983 + 1979 + 1981 + 1980 + 1979 + 1984 + 1986 + 2007 + 1985 + 1985 + 1987 + 1987 + 2007 + 1986 + 1986 + 1989 + 1980 + 1981 + 1986 + 1981 + 1982 + 1993 + 1987 ) / 23) Let's use Google's calculator: http://www.google.com/sea...+%2F+23%29 So the average age of the songs performed during this gig is: 22.8695652 years. Translation: on average each song played during this gig was about 23 years old. Which actually means plenty of them are even older, since this is an average. Two songs from 2007, one from 1993, and all others date back to the 1980s or even earlier. For comparison: the average age of the songs performed for one of the Montreux gigs was 14.33333 years - see http://prince.org/msg/12/316300?&pg=4 . © Bart Van Hemelen

So is this set for a DVD release? or was the art work just for the concerts? Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach
