Possessed: The Rise and Fall of PRINCE

I was surfing around Borders and found this book, Titled - Possessed: The Rise and Fall of PRINCE.

States not yet published, but shows available April 2003.

Anyone know anything about this book?

amazon.com has it listed, but it's "not yet published." They also have an image of the book cover:

What I am wanting to see is how much weight people will believe THIS guy holds in a critical opinion (Alex Hahn). Writing on a pop/rock/soul star when his other books are "Professional ASP XML" and "Basic Calculus: From Archimedes to Newton to its Role in Science"?! WTF!?! Not saying bookworms don't listen to musci, but I hardly see any good facts that would sway my thought into thinking P has fallen. Using the facts that he released Purple Rain and is under 5'5" are by no means justifiable factors for this book. Ok, I digress... twocents

If I recall correct...isn't Alex Hahn the lawyer who defended Uptown during the whole lawsuit frenzy of early 1999. I think he practices out of New York and he was just a Prince fan who enjoyed reading Uptown and wanted to defend them from what he felt was Prince's bullying...

Or something like that!

If so, it explains some possible reasoning for the book.

Yupp you're right. And as xpsiter said, it would explain the book, esp the title... "fall of Prince" lol that's pretty presumptious. It's probably subtitled, "How I stood up to Prince's lawsuit and won.... a settlement."
.

Wow, think of that when you complain about someone posting a negative comment on here about Prince. This guy goes one step further and writes a whole damn book! LOL

Good lord. Lawyers are now writing books about him. Next his former maid and chauffer will write a book. I doubt this book could be any better than DMSR. I would not say that Prince has fallen. He knew when he talked shit about Warner Brothers that life was gonna get difficult.

Who cares ?

A lot of you really don't know or care to know the impact that Prince's stand with Warner's will eventually have on the music world.
Prince was right on his stance with UPTOWN from a legal sense. It pissed us off because they had good info on bootlegs, but he had to threaten legal action.

Personally it bothers me that Prince didn't try and make the NPGMC more like sites like this one & be more accessable to the fams with his site.
