During "Delirious" at the Indianapolis stop on the Jam Of The Year tour, Prince attempted to slide across the stage and ended up falling on his backside.
Unfortunately this wasn't captured on my bootleg of the show. Whoever was holding the camera got a little shaky at this exact moment. I'll have to relive that moment through my memory.

At one of the 21 nights aftershows when Shelby J was singing, Prince was jamming in the background and when he bent over his shades fell off and onto the floor. Despite the short distance ( ) I think they broke cos he waved to someone backstage who ran and got them. I know I hold you too tight, but I just can't seem to get close enough

Not Prince's mistake, but... "Who's the fool singing 'will', it's 'would'!" If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I was like... He picked it right back up, but all night long, I was like... "Wow... Prince dropped his microphone. What would have happened if it rolled onto the floor and he couldn't get it??? LOL" Diamonds & Pearls tour, Earls Court - Prince starts singing "which one of us is right...." for a second time during D&P when he should be on " there will come a time...." 3rd August 2007, O2.... One of the Twinz gies ass over tit and nearly falls off the stage 21 sept 2007 Aftershow - Greg Boyer carries on playing when everyone else stops. The best that I've heard on tape is from Act ii tour when his guitar goes bang and ge gets the mechanic/ technician on stage to fix it in front if thousands. Poor technician!!!! Prince just walks around humming to pass the time

This is a cool idea for a thread.
If there were a system to gauge musicians' onstage perfection like baseball players' batting averages I wonder who would be the best "hitter" in the major leagues. Prince must have several thousand "at bats" in his career by now. Something's gotta go wrong once in a while in all those chances, it's just the odds. NObody hits home runs every time at bat. James Brown was famous for fining his band members if they made any mistakes. I wonder if the band gave JB shit if HE goofed a moment. [Edited 10/17/09 9:09am]
