There is another mistake documented on a well-known video....the Lovesexy concerts (amazing there is just the one, given the added pressure of it being a fully live broadcast).

If you watch the end of I Wish You Heaven, as Miko is doing his solo, Prince goes to sing in to the mic a bar too early - but, he catches himself before he does, as he realises Miko is still playing, pulls a weird face and grins at Miko and then returns to the mic at the right time. Erm, so, maybe that not's a mistake - just a near-miss

I figured it was hot off the "purple paisley press" and he did not have time to memorize the words.

This second bit isn't a mistake on P's part but back in the 80;s. i don't remember what tour, but in Norfolk VA there was a rumor that during a concert at the Scope arena, P turned his back to the audience in a dance move and someone threw a brush at him and hit him in the butt,

It was rumored that P said he would never play in Norfolk VA again, however, history has proved differently.

Anybody from Hampton Roads (aka Tidewater back in the day) can tell if this really happened?

i believe he was doing something goofy, SLIDING down the ramp on the edge of his heels. guitar made a heckuva racket when it fell. at the aftershow he was pretty low key, mostly just sitting at keyboards. i think he hurt himself.

And it was the 10th.

i saw him on the jam of the year tour, and he started singing the second verse where the first goes during "face down"

i was second row center, and close enough to see the sheepish grin on his face. i started laughing loudly, as did the other megafans who noticed, and he grinned at us.

They're so minor it's incredible given the concerts he's done. I really respect that the Indigo Nights CD, he left in 3121 where Prince goes into DMSR, but the girls keep singing 3121 and check themselves.

During the perfume launch at Macy's 07/07/07 the band start with When the Saints Go Marching In. You hear the roar as Prince arrives, the band stop, there’s a pause, Prince hits the mic, then simultaneously Prince sings "Girls and Bo...." And the band hit in with the dun duh duh of 3121. The band wins and Girls and Boys is played second.

When I saw Prince back in '04 he basically screamed his voice out during Call My Name. That was a pretty big mistake. It was on June 25th. There's a bootleg out called Black Sweat because that was the show where he performed it for the first time. He was starting to get hoarse during Purple Rain and he had to cancel the next day's show because of voice strain.
