LISTEN UP ALL YOU DELUSIONALS

Ok...I'm being sarcastic. Nobody on the org is delusional. rolleyes lol

Anyway...

What makes some of you or any of you think that Prince is faithful or could be committed to anything or anyone other than his music? Music is his one and only true love and he's even cheated with that, e.g.his attempts at rapping and potentially not devoting enough time and energy into his artists/proteges.

Can a man like Prince be faithful to anyone or anything besides his own music? Should he be? Let's discuss.

Yes that's right with Mayte.
I can remember he said in an interview that Mayte workED with him and now they're married and she don't work with him anymore.
Bria don't promote her album because Prince don't want her to.
Just because they're maybe lovers.
And what does it mean to bring Bria to all these fashion events and not music events if he want her to be famous as a singer? He don't promote or help her in any way and that's maybe because they're just a couple and she isn't his protogee anymore.

Imma hafta get in this shit falloff

Are U Serious? eek

I think it's unfair to say he can't or will never be faithful to anyone or thing neutral I think he & Mayte' would still be married if not for their tragedy and Mani's ass lol and he has definitely been faithful to his career and music I don't think to many artist could stay strong for 30 yrs even with everything Prince or The Artist went through. He can be faithful-the question is Is there a woman out there with that good good that can make his ass stay still? lol But seriously, I think through it all he loved Mayte' and probably still does.

I'll take a stab at this. I think he can be faithful to someone but it has to be the right woman. Someone with a mind of her own who can challenge him, not a yes person or someone who is trying to start a career. We've watched P prance around with all these women and none of the relationships seem to work, but they all seem like the same type of woman to me... And I don't just mean physical attributes. Just my two cents. And I happen to be a hopeless romantic so I do still believe it's possible.

See..I've even considered whether he and Mayte would still be married if Gregory hadn't passed but...honestly...I think he would have cheated on her still and she would have bounced. Without the baby she had no leverage really. That may sound a little harsh but come on...Prince is a womanizer and no real ass chick would be able to withstand that for too long. With his music, it's something he's made and can control and loves. It's his sanity and salvation. It's something that will never be jealous, talk back, cheat or lie to him. Why wouldn't he be endlessly devoted, faithful and committed to the music?

I keep hearing people say that Mayte was his one true love and what not but my only issue with that is she was so young when they got together. I mean, did she really know who she was? Did she know what she was doing or getting into and have a chance to develop and grow into her own during that courtship and marriage? Maybe if she was a little older but I just don't see how that was a good match for the long haul. She seemed sweet and all, but it's like marrying a 30-something year old established man when you graduate high school. I don't know, it just always seemed questionable to me. neutral Maybe it was bad timing for them.

Sad to say, but some of his best music came out of being in love, cheating and being unfaithful. Of course at the expense of someones heart.

Vanity
Susan Moonsie
Susannah Melvoin
Sheila & Jill? I don't know if he really was in a relationship with them
it's possible, I believe with Jill more than Sheila but I think Jill was more like him and laid back about it, not wanting a commitment from him.

Susannah, poor beautiful one, some of the deepest most beautiful songs came from their relationship

To be honest because Mayte' was so young I believe they still would be married. Who knows what would have happened if he wouldn't have cheated- hell what man hasn't? But I do believe he wouldn't have left her. Mayte's career was made by Prince she was a dancer that's it-she did not bring anything to their union, but he loved her and she loved him. Hell, any man that could sing Let's have A baby is in love lol The other wife was educated, but not worthy lol She was a scheming heffa. As for Bria, what is she bringing to the table? Is their union real? Who knows? But it's still unfair to say he can't be faithful to her or anything else. None of us really know Prince-sure he controls his work what artist doesn't? He has to have something going on besides money? He may even be a nice person-I know some here on the Org refuse to believe lol

True... lol..
With that in mind... could Future Baby Mama have been about Bria? hmmm....
I personally don't think so, but with the analogy about the height, looks, age and having a baby, makes me wonder.

shrug I think that song was an answer to a thread here on the Org about Prince's perfect wife lol I have heard about some religions teaching that a wife should compliment a man in height, weight, complexion, etc. Remember the movie Malcolm X where he talks about marrying his wife? eek But that thread was hilarious-folks should look it up lol

Anyone can be faithful if they want to be.

Let's face it...If we are attracted to Prince because he is a beautiful person that has a beautiful voice...we cannot expect Prince to not be attracted to the same things in his life.

A pretty girl is a pretty girl...a sexy voice is a sexy voice....Prince is a man that is going to get turned on by that.

I admit that I am jealous of Prince's relationships in his life, However, when someone does not love in a devoted fashion...they are only getting what they give.

If your mind fragments all day long and U think U can give a whole man to a woman, U are wrong...She can only love the fragment U give her.

Being a Shiek fucking guitar gigolo is overrated if U want a woman's mouth to be devoted to your cock. cool

For a dude that hears beats when he's brushing his teeth I'd say music is his first true love. A woman in his life would have to be either a serious musician in her own right or capable of being number 2 to the music.

Take "Ripopgodazippa" it was inspired by an episode on the weight bench with Mayte. So while his "tongue was in the cheek of her gold underwear" he was thinking "Damn! This is gonna make a good song."

Well I think two things here. One- I feel you can only be faithful to a relationship if you are consistent with yourself, Prince has shifted through so many personas over the years each of his women have probably had a relationship with a different Prince, which to be fair to prince he is probably not unique having this characteristic. Two how nay famous people do sustain a relationship? I know we like to be romatic that love is forever but if you are not confined by everyday mundaneness it is very hard to maintain a relationship. Firstly in famous relationships there is very rarely equality, there is no financial restriction and there is far more scope to be capricious. It is not a natural context for a relationship to survive
