an Ordinary Prince

soo another thread gave me the inspiration 2 start one on a serios note. do you really think Prince is missing out on some things we may take advantage of? and do you think that he would be in a happily married life if he wasnt the Prince we all know?

When u live your life as "prince" or anyone for that matter that has that type of spotlight on you...you tend 2 get used 2 living in a world where you can have anything or any woman you want..I'm sure they all present themselves as "having the same interests and passions" as him..assuming that they are in loove with the IMAGE of prince..they dont look deep enough to see that Prince is still a man, with flaws and contradictions like every other man.or the fact of Marraige including "till death do us part" through sickness and health..Richer or poorer...man these same girls..well most of them..wouldnt look at Prince twice if he was working in some small record store in minneapolis and living in a studio apartment..regardless if all of the music now, he still made with a small set in someones basement..Prince is like us in the sense that he is ever changing like you and i..he is getting older and needs someone who will be a companion to him, and will be there to take care of him, and will know and learn him..as a wife does to her husband of 40 years..these things are harder to find when your in the "limelight" and you have women who are godesses and have the same mind set as a man..The women he dates, for the most part arent the L.A type...until the fame taints them..pretty soon Bri isnt ganna be the nicest girl..and lets just hope she doesnt leave Prince for yet another badboy type like ..lets say...Dennis rodman? Eric Benet? tommy lee? ..i guess these are all of the sacrifices of being "famous" and it shows in his music lately..soo here is the question...what is more important?? fame or a real life existence?

All I can say is that I would love to see Prince happy with a wife and kids wink Actually, I think if he was an ordinary person his qualities would still shine through-I'd take at least a double take at him-he'd still be fine lol and yes of course he probably misses ordinary things that us ordinary folks get to do he said so on Indigo Nights-he does miss it wink

that is Beautiful Nurse V...We all deserve that one person in our lives that will love us unconditionally. Its sad that he already thought he found that 2 times allready..i think Prince at the moment is trying 2 find the balance between having a life that coexists with GOD, a woman tht will support him completely, or Join him, and his passion for music. That passion for music, and the sacrifices he makes to create his music leave him at this insane state of complete isolation.and unfortunatley noone else but the selective few (you and i as well as the other Die hard fans) will see it until he is long gone (please not for another 50 years).

The women he dates, for the most part arent the L.A type...until the fame taints them..pretty soon Bri isnt ganna be the nicest girl..and lets just hope she doesnt leave Prince for yet another badboy type like ..lets say...Dennis rodman? Eric Benet? tommy lee? ..i guess these are all of the sacrifices of being "famous" and it shows in his music lately..soo here is the question...what is more important?? fame or a real life existence?

I think fame would taint anyone don't you think? A life where money is in abundance & where looking good is almost the only thing that matters, at least in that part of the world. It's hard for anyone I think to remain "normal" when under a spotlight, with little privacy with everybody writing things about you. Also, once you're famous and you've reached the, lets say "highest" rung of the ladder, there really is no place to go but down. People always have expectations and whilst fame might deliver for a while, eventually, real life existence, and flaws, even in the stars prevail and pop goes the weasal.

Why do you say soon Bria won't be the nicest girl? I don't really understand that. Also where do you feel it shows in his music lately. I'd like to hear your opinions.

For me personally, real existence is more important. But humans are creatures of habit and those who are famous I suppose could never turn "normal" and normal people would have a hard time being famous. Best to have done it like Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis. Both famous, they moved away to a quiet corner in France, and seem to be raising their children and living their lives, peacefully out of the spotlight.

Nice thread by the way.

I say that because people that have met her say things like she is nice and as warm as a comecoming queen, and how she is really approachable...and what I mean about the new music screaming it..really shows in lotusflow3r..in songs like "here". And boom...its a love story by Prince painted a little bit more brightly and different...and you have made an excellent point hug

"BOOM"

What if another universe
Complete with sun and moon
An entire galaxy and what's worse
U and eye 2 soon
Find each other xpanding beyond this dirty room
Butterscotch mountains
Sunshine

"Here"

It's different when u're grown
The wine don't taste the same
When u're alone
The size of the bed now seems like
The biggest that eye've ever known

Eye am gonna say this once
Then eye am gonna leave this town
If you can learn 2 open ur eyes under water
Then you and me won't drown
Without each other
Eue promise eye'll c you on the other side
Just believe in me and trust this ride
Eye am so sincere right now
Eye just...

Eye just want you here
Eye just want you near me baby
Eye'm scared eye'll cry
And love you like crazy
Eye'm flying above all fears
Eye haven't seen any tears not lately, no
Eye don't wanna land, not even maybe
Donny hathaway's "song 4 u" ain't the same
Without you
Here

or even "somewhere here on earth" ?

Fame wouldn't taint me because I have a behind the scenes...behind the production mind.

I have a "Disney" Goal Oriented persona. I'm about Family entertainment.

Loving Prince is knowing that His Fame has it's sliver's of Flamboyant Superficiality. I can see Prince marrying someone like Alicia Key's and being extremely happy 4 the rest of his life...However if Prince isn't gonna marry the exceptionally talented kind of girl so that he can have that singing couple feeling, he might as well marry me. Prince is like a Candle, and I'm like a match.

.Loving someone every day is all U need to have to begin with. All I know is that Prince's music is important to him and it's important to me.

We still need a friend to talk with, and eat with, and sleep with. cool

The other thing is this...

If it's true...Tommy and Eric....I never would have embarassed Prince that way. I have way too much respect for Prince and his legacy to ever turn my head.

It shocks me that these women had no foresight into World History.

Honestly if Prince went to town with someone else...I'd just let him Once. The second time around I'd leave with very little and I would boast about leaving with very little.

I would wait at least 5 years to date....and if I fell in love again it would most likely be with a quiet poetic type. Away from the Hollywood Rumor Crimes. It's all ugly to look at...

cool

I understand what U mean about that fame line...

Although in a way, money and fame don't have anything to do with self respect.
The way the news makes it appear is that Prince's wives struck back at him out of intimidation and insecurity. That is where it is sad for the "Music."

I believe that hurting a man like Prince regardless of his freedom's as a man to hurt a woman's feelings...Is a sacrifice a smart woman would make. For them it was about selfishness. Even though I can say it's none of my business...I'd have given anything to have had the opportunity to be Prince's wife years ago, and Still...

It hurts me to know that these "Hot Chicks," really don't care about the impact "Purple Rain," made in the music business. Their minds don't care about the "Thread," of Musical Charm that Prince has given the Earth.

The Reality of the real consequence is forgivable, tolerable, yet...is so "B" Movie or something.

When I told my girlfriend that Prince's first wife had an affair with Tommy Lee...She said, "Ewwwww."...I couldn't help but chuckle. Her and I went to see Eric Benet, who I think is very talented and attractive...but that's it...I couldn't get past what he did to Halle Berry to desire the man anyway, I guess it's an Ohio girl thing....Yet Truly, when U love Prince...Other men are just a 39 and a half inch pole away anyway. Ya Know. I don't like to get gossipy, but we do all have our distant opinions about things. I've got mine, and I'm just sorry that anybody got hurt, and in my eyes, especially Prince. cool

I've been ramblin' a lot lately...Thanks to those that bother to read. cool

So are they any less a man because they are not Prince?

I just brought up the Tommy Lee thing because Tame should not be posting rumors as truth and the fact she would let some man cheat on her makes me gag.

The part that makes me hopeful,, is that i know that there must be soo many beautiful musicians out there in this world, that are making and creating just like Prince, or have the same passion as he does..Ordinary Beautiful men..I know in all reality,I will find or possible traits that i ADORE in Prince..I can go on living an ORDINARY life with my husband to be and live in life and loove...Prince unfortunatley will have a harder time finding the woman that will learn him, and grow with him, and give him Beautiful babies..Forever in the eyes of fame seems to be a 7 year trend. I hope the best 4 Prince, and I hope that he finds what he is yearning for in his other half..but honestly speaking..it needs 2 b a woman who is more than a bracelet..a true woma who can really hold him down when all else falls apart. some of these younger women dont really get that..

i think it's a bit presumptuous to say the women he's been with and apparently fell in love with have been bracelets. Is it impossible to believe Prince himself is the one with the problem?

Why the assumptions about the women he's been with?

there are plenty of celebrities on or above P's level that live an 'ordianry' lifestlye with long time partners/spouses...
Prince lives in his own bubble...not that that's a bad thing but it's kinda unrealistic to expect somebody to wanna forever share that same life with him...

The one special thing abou Prince, that i hope you agree is that Prince has this beautifully insane passion for music..With all of the music that he has created is proof enough.. nod

His passion, like most Artists, musicians, find there inspiration in the strangest of times..and they have to act on it..weather your a musician, or a writer, when it calls you, you have to go! and create your vision. That is very hard to cope with. Prince is known from spending hours apon hours in the studio..non stop 16 hour rehersals,

So in your Opinion.. what do you think it is then? if it isnt his passion for music that he has kept his dedication true to?
