I'm sure there's others here who are more knowledgeable about how that works, I'm just guessing that's why it can't be posted here or other unofficial sites.

I actually thought he would have his own Prince dedicated, youtube channel, showing his classic/present vids, and live footage from concerts/shows, didn't expect it would be on someone else's youtube channel. I think he would attract more fans outside the unofficial sites, from various age groups, if they could easily locate a Prince dedicated youtube channel with his vids, etc., provided directly from him to youtube. It would be much easier to find. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Seems the only use for his official site now is to sell tickets (and other merchandise) for concerts/shows where members get first dibs at a presale and good seats (if any), before tickets go on sale to the general public. So who knows, all may not be lost for those of us that paid to join the "official" site.
