Willy Wonka

Hi All,

Last year at Xenophobia, during an intermission or something, the dj played a live cover by Prince of a song from the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, "There's No Place I Know." Does anyone know where this could have come from or have any other information about it (time period, tour, venue, etc.)?

Thanks!

The song title is actully "Pure Imagination". Did he really play a version of this recorded by Prince? Was it a live take or a studio thing?

This was my favourite film as a child. I still have a huge soft spot for it.

Was that around 1968? Or was it the 70's? Wasn't Sly and Larry digging it on the radio back then? By the way I hear what they call the Golden Oldies on CBS FM in N.Y.

I'm an adult and I still love this movie. If you have kids and they haven't seen it, rent the video.
