I hear you. But "horrible" and "disgusting human being" are actually direct quote from well-known folks (in the Price circle, at least) I've met here in Bay Area music community who have worked with him. Then when I lived in New York and worked in the entertainment law community many of those stories were corroborated and embellished.

Other great artists and cultural figures of note who's work is greatly admired have been in similar boats. Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Buck Owens and Alan Watts are a few that come to mind.
My point is: as a "fan" of these people you're a fan of the art not the artist.

Now, given what Cornell West just said about Prince as posted in an another thread here recently, I might be inclined to rethink my negative view of Prince as a person these days. So there you go.

Don't waffle dude, be strong, don't look at his eyes. Prince is rotten inside, he complains about being exploited and like most people who complain of being exploited, they exploit others as much as they can get away with it. It's ok with me, I don't look for intellectual or moral leadership from a pop star so as long as he makes music I'll listen. You know what's worse though? Him not having the balls to own up to some of the things he's done and claim they were lies once he sees he's truly in danger of losing his only fans, what a wimp.If he don't like gays that's one thing, it's even worse in my mind for him to deny he said it, because that's a deeper flaw in him as a man.
