Dirty Mind could have been... a country album. "When You Were Mine","Gotta Broken Heart Again", "Uptown", "Party Up", "Head" & "Sister". I think if Prince wanted to do country it would be easy. I also feel "When You were mine" would be the perfect song for Taylor Swift

The whole album? No. That's a ridiculous notion.
However, "When You Were Mine" is a good song that could go either way. As far as songs like "PartyUp", "Uptown", "head", "Sister" (although there's a huge joke about inbreeding and country music w/ that song) are NOT country capable. "Gotta Broken Heart Again" is a bit of a two-way song as well, and COULD be a country song. "With You" is a good country song too. Not to go off topic, but I always thought Madonna's "Crazy For You" is a great country song, and I'm surprised that no one (to my knowledge) has done it as a country song. [Edited 10/5/09 9:48am] | |
