+ if it was meant to be sad it would also have depressing music, like all of the really sad songs mentioned here (If I was your girlfriend, Nothing compares 2 U, etc.)

Furthermore, how some people can find sadness in songs such as Little Red Corvette or I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man is beyond me!!! These are dance tracks with playful lyrics... Come on, one has to be clinically depressed to find them sad...

Besides "sometimes it snows in April" I haven't really found any song sad yet.
If the lyrics are a little emotional I experience it not as sad but as a little "quietening." That being said, "sometimes it snows in April" is "beautiful sad" so it cannot be sad for me. The beauty effect of the song is stronger than the sadness.
