my daughter is on vacation n la. she called home n asked where prince star is so she can get a pic 4 me. she was n a state of disbelief when i told her there was no star!!!

I always wonder why Prince Never Had A Star, While others who aren't as talented got them.

Needless to say, Prince hasn't given the OK in decades....So it will never happen...But it has nothing to do with Prince not being able to get a star...It's just not his bag...

I remember hearing Steve Edwards discuss this on Good Day Live (when they did Good Day LA as a national show). From the way he discussed it, it didn't matter where the money came from for the person to get a star. As long as the board approved it and the fan club/star/star's estate, etc. kept up with the fees, the star would be granted. They even went on to state that certain people pay for their own (not surprising).

Im not sure if this is true or not, but I heard on the radio, many years ago, that they wasnt giving him one because they thought it disgrace the walk of fame due to his perverse music and performances.
