what r the top 10 worst prince albums..starting with
the worst?

I don't really think that there are 10 albums that I would like to put in this category. I will see how many I am willing to use:

Rainbow Children
New Power Soul
Chaos and Disorder (although I love Dinner w Delores)

This is all I am willing to do. Every other album has at least 3 or 4 songs that I enjoy.

10? How about just three.

Planet Earth

Diamonds and Pearls,One Night Alone,Musicology and Planet Earth. I love the rest

....and almost anything after Emancipation, Planet Earth being the exception. In the past 10 years, nothing has been that great from him. Rave wasn't bad, and I can still listen to it, but it..again, is an exception. I still don't listen to D&P much. THAT album seems hodge podge to me, and frankly without "Gett Off", it'd suck a bit more.

ONA... Live, I only like Strange Relationship and The Everlasting Now, those are really funky, and on the aftershow disc I only like Joy In Repetition, I can't get into the rest of the songs. I have witnessed about 17 Prince concerts, including 4 aftershows, most of them (except the Nude concert in Copenhagen 1990) were really brilliant - this ONA Live recording just don't do it for me, I own the big box, but I'm never listening,

same with Indigo Nights, what a terrible selection of songs, I would had chosen the rock aftershow august 28 2007 + Love Is A Loosing Game, feat. Amy Winehouse from september 21 2007. But sadly Indigo Nights turned out to be one of the worst live cd's. The horns are really bad on this cd... imo.

N.E.W.S. - I just don't understand those who likes this boring instrumental music. I have tried to listen - it does nothing for me, Madhouse was at least funky, good melodies too, N.E.W.S. is just - b.o.r.i.n.g.

Like I said, it's a matter of taste: Prince doing jazzy funk just isn't my cup of tea.

ONA Live - the sound is clear (I don't mind some parts were overdubbed in the studio) and the tracklist is great. Imo his best version of NC2U. I've never seen Prince live, so I'm glad I can listen to his live shows and bootlegs. But as you've said - the Aftershow cd is quite boring (except JIR, 2NU4WC and Peach). I'd give this collection 7 points.

IN - it's not that kind of record you can listen to everyday, but I like almost all of those songs. Maybe the sound could be better (horn parts sounds really bad in some songs), but it's a solid record, nothing special - but 2 points? I'd rate it 5, maybe 6.

I have very special "relationship" with N.E.W.S - when I read some book, I play this record along. Just sit in your armchair, drink a cup of tea/coffee, read your favourite book and listen to the N.E.W.S I'd rate it 8.

Btw. I have no less than 8 Prince albums with a maximum 10/10 on my Top 10, Best albums.

But I won't post that list here, that would be a little off topic I guess.

I like every Prince album, but if I had to pick one dare I say, Controversy it just find it boring and seems like more of a background to a Las Vegas Casino than something you actually want to listen to. I love Planet Earth though, so underrated .
