Worst TV Appearances?

We all know Prince is a amazing performer. Just check out the AMA 85 Appearance and the Leno appearances. But what are sum that were bad? or not that good?I think that the TRL appearance was bad,he acted as if he didnt want to be there. The BET awards 2006-Seeing Prince on stage performing Im every woman was embarrasing. American idol 06-it was a big surprise but he sounded like he had a cold.

to me this was bad:

The Christ, Formerly known as The Cross, with Chaka Khan and Larry Graham on VH1 in 1997.

The change of lyrics and to hear Larry Graham trying to sing this great song.

Yuck the song was ruined.. imo. wink

btw. I love most of Prince's performances, and I think Prince and the Twinz looked hot on the American Idol 2006, cool

That never happened. The dancers did The Purple Medley, then he came out and lip synced a medley of songs from The Gold Experience. At the end of the show, everyone got up and sang "We Are The World". Prince was part of the group, but he never sang.

That was the American Music Awards, not the VMAs.

I have no idea what WetDream is talking about.

That Muppet show stuff from 1997, was pretty reprehensible, whats with the Raspberry Sorbet song and the hick impersonation. He must have been desperate at the time.

The Brit awards 1997 lip synching to a re recording of Emancipation with a bit of We March half way through. not good. nce to see him on tv in the uk though, that was the first year he didn't win international male for about 4 or 5 years, Beck won it.

cool

Yes it was Earnest and I wholeheartedly agree with vivid it was awful but then the whole show was terrible. Patrick Swayze just looked scared shitless and David Copperfield was there. Yuck!

True. But some people sang live, so he could have done too.

He even later poo poo'd having to lip sync the song (I believe it was about that performance), saying it cheated the viewer out of seeing a performer sing something live.

Probably Zannalee on The Today Show or Dinner with Delores on Letterman. Zannalee had bad sound quality and Prince was in a rut at the time. Prince was a never a good fit on Letterman, but the Dolphin performance was outstanding. I also hated Prince's hair when he did "The Work" on Leno.
