Actually, I think that they are tied. They both have huge egos. The big difference is, Prince at least has talent to back up his ego, whereas kanye does not. But the huge ego is still a turn-off to me.

Prince has got the true musical talent to back it up, kanye is just a very good hip-hop star.

i saw him on a UK talk show and the host mentioned his use of auto-tune, then showed him over to a vocoder (totally different to auto-tune) Kanye couldn't play it. nuff said.

I don't know anything about Kanye West, but I could almost guarantee that Prince has a bigger ego.

No way. Kanye's ego is galactic. Prince's ego is huge, but the bravado he has on stage is mostly for show. Kanye is talented, but he ain't puttin' on an act with his bloated self-worth persona.

One can almost forgive a musician of Princes calibre for his ego. In fact i prefer it. I find Prince less likeable when he pretends to be humble.

There are other stars with bigger egos than the both of them such as Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, P Diddy, Beyonce.

If you ever really listen to Prince speak he's very humble. It's only in his songs that he brags and that's just for music's sake.

Ugh, forget Kanye! Prince actually has a reason to be full of himself. Kanye's career won't last... he's industry fluff! What is his real talent anyway? Talking fast in rhyme? I heard he has declared himself the new King of Pop since Michael's passing. He even called the family to ask if he could use the name... what an ass.

Prince has the biggest ego in music.

Kayne easily beats Prince in this one. Kayne's music doesn't match up with the bravado. Plus, a lot of it is a front just to be bigger. He comes up phony to me. At least Prince really seems like a prick sometimes but the music matches the talk. Plus, Prince doesn't do this all the time the way Kayne does. Kayne's a media ho.

Anyway, out of the two, I think West has the worst public ego. He's effusive with his incoherent boasting, and seems to actually believe in his inane comments about his so-called greatness. From an outside perspective, Prince's reticence makes him appear less egocentric than West.
