I remember there being a lot of debate here about some test downloads that the NPGMC sent out 2 a few territories a couple of months ago. R any of the CNOTE downloads these or r they completely new? If they r different r the test ones worth getting hold of?

how come that I (being a member of the NPGMC) did not get the link for the soundcheck-downloads? Eventually I did get them via another way (still had to log on tho, which is good!). I find this very strange! Does it have to do with the fact that I've been away on vacation 2 weeks, not being able to log on?

I think the NPGMC have problems with access to their servers - remember TRC? And I'm sure I read an email from NPGMC on here somewhere saying that they were going to be upgrading their servers for 2003.

That means that either (a) this geographic split of downloads is because their servers arent up to it and they are allowing us NPGMC members to share - "please dont share outside the NPGMC" OR (b) they are testing out their new servers.

Either way looks good to me for 2003. I didnt join in 2001 cos I wasnt a fan of downloads but even with my 56k modem I've managed to download Xpectation.

Also, I thought that membership would end on December 31st 2002? I am not complaining though...
