The Christ - Rave un2 the Year 2000 I really like this song on the Rave DVD with the backing choir and all. Does anyone know of a way I can rip this song off the DVD and put it on my MP3 player, or a CD that I can listen to in the car, etc?

If U have a stand alone cd player/burner, U can connect the output jacks from your DVD player and plug them into your input postiton. If it breaks when it bends, U better not put it in!

There's probably software to do just that. I have a DVD player hooked up to a stand alone CD recorder (uses CD-Audio discs) to rip concert DVDs to CD through the analog outs. Just make sure that you choose stereo as the audio option on the DVD player or the sound will be goofy.
This thread may be deleted, now that I think about it. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

^ I agree. The Christ song is painfull. It just sounds so wrong, The Cross... those 2 words have a much more powerful sound when you sing along.
Singing The Christ just makes me cringe, how could he change such a beautiful song. Yeah I know about the JW thing and his belief in Jesus not dying on a cross.... on a stauros or whatever it is called, still this change is 'painful', a bad mistake, Prince sure is weird sometimes... imo. i don't even mind the change from cross to christ that much... it is the arrangement of the song. contrived, stilted and just doesn't feel loose and natural. in fact the whole rave show feels false. ----------

yeah, it sure does. It's so weird the feeling to that show. That's a good way to describe it. It feels false. "Hyperactive when I was small, Hyperactive now I'm grown, Hyperactive 'till I'm dead and gone"
