Well if you really wanna know,I asked this question because while reading wikipedia their always talking about a certain album did not do well on the charts(Love Symbol),but the albums are the ones that sell over a million copies.I'm just curious on how much did the albums sell in the first week. | |

Anyway, to answer your question, in the 90s, most times cds in my area were 11 and 12 dollars within the first week. It was not uncommon to find cds for 15 and 20 dollars in the 90s that were new. I think that the archives of Billboard and Nielsen's Soundscan might have those stats. It's possible to check those archives after signing up to both sites.

It would have been correct in the context you are using now (their website). "They're" is the correct usage because you are talking about what people are saying. | |

This can be a positive learning experience. We can take a bad thread like "look up info for me" and make it a teaching moment.
Aside from this bit from the site rules: In general, post if you have something to say. If you want to start a new thread, make it worthwhile. Don't be lazy and give a 1-sentence "what do you think about X?". At least explain your position, why, etc... make it interesting to read; you're more likely to get quality responses.
A good post would have been: I noticed on wikipedia that some albums were not well received. Although I have posted multiple threads about this before, I thought I would be "willing to do the work". I looked up all of the 1st week sales for P's albums and here they are. Based on these numbers, do you think the albums were "well received" or not? Do reviews matter more than numbers or is your opinion all that matters to you? Please try and come up with something not already posted on one of my other threads about albums not being well received.
By actually posing a real question and giving suggestions for conversation starters, plus the use of proper grammar and spelling, better responses may be received. That avoids the thread devolving into an off topic discussion of your grammar and ultimately the  Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |
