1. What was your first album?
A friend played Dirty Mind and Controversy for me just before 1999 came out - which is the first one I bought and then worked my way backwards & forwards ever since. 2. When did you get it? When 1999 came out I was 17. 3. What format (tape, cd, record, electronic)? Vinyl. 4. Does the album have special meaning to you? Not particularly as there has been so much music over the years that 1999 is just one chapter of a very large book - I look back at every era and album with specific memories of that time.

Dirty Mind cd in '95, but I "borrowed" For You and Prince vinyls from my brother before that. I Still got 'em.

I bought the For You album when it first came out. I still have it (my wife has hers too). It means a lot because its a great record. I love Soft & Wet and I'm Yours. U might not like the taste, but I'm still going to stick your face in this Funk

1. For You
2. 1978 3. Vinyl LP 4. It was special because nobody did what Prince was doing back then. He was new and his sound was different than anything else out. I was 16 at the time, and I was just mesmerized by his voice, his music, and the fact that he was just so pretty to look at. What more could a young girl ask for!

1. What was your first album?
Chaos And Disorder, The Hits 1 and The Hits 2. (I bought them all simultaneously) 2. When did you get it? I'm pretty sure it was in September of 1996. 3. What format (tape, cd, record, electronic)? CD. 4. Does the album have special meaning to you? Oh, heck yeah! I'm a big fan of Prince's rock music so of course I was going to love Chaos And Disorder. I do find it amusing how much hate this album gets. I'm a big fan of the 1993-1996 era and for me Chaos And Disorder is just as good as the other albums he released during that era. Sure, there are some stinkers but overall I think it's a great album.

1. What was your first album?
Purple Rain 2. When did you get it? 1984 3. What format (tape, cd, record, electronic)? On cassette in 1984 and then on cd a year later 4. Does the album have special meaning to you? Yes. Firstly it's a masterpiece. Secondly, when I listen to it it takes me right back to that time in my life. It's like reliving my teenage years though I still appreciate the music now of course.
