Prince and Arcade Fire?

I know that the beginning of "If I Was Your Girlfriend" is some sort of classical music sample, but does Arcade Fire use the same exact sample on their song "Keep the Car Running"?

p.s. What sample is that?

Nightcrawler

IIWYG starts with a short sample of Mendelssohns Bridal March:

The beginning of Keep The Car Running also sounds like an orchestra tuning their instruments, but it´s not the same sample. All orchestras tuning sound a little bit similar, see this example:

No no.

IIWYG starts off with an orchestra sample. Then it cuts to the guy saying, "Look at the birds you saw the here ladies" (or whatever he says), THEN it goes to the Wedding March piece.

I am referring strictly to the very beginning sample. Also note, this is on the Sign O the Times version, but it is NOT on the HITS version.

Play the intro to that song and the Arcade Fire song back to back. It's exactly the same. Same pitch and everything.

Ok I just listened back to back. They are different.

But it is the same exact pitch and everything.

I'm a musical genius for noticing that.

Modest much?

PEACE.
Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews.
