I was never challenging brother blackguitaristz. I respect him more than 99% of the people on this site. I even said there should be more threads like the ones he makes and less of these type of ones. |

I love these threads. People seem to get a lot of shit off their chests. Even though that chip on their shoulder remains firmly planted.
Carry on. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Carry on. Come to think of it, that's really true. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

cool show ...Last night Sept 10th was the rescheduled final stop on NIN's "last "Wave Goodbye" tour. The show was at the Wiltern in L.A. and ran over three hours and featured many guests that appeared at the previous LA show which took place at Henry Fonda Theater in LA two nights earlier. NIN played four LA shows total. [Edited 9/11/09 12:23pm] mr mike garson jamming on the piano omg that rocks .. [Edited 9/11/09 15:23pm]

I can understand some of what the original poster is saying but I have to say that I am just Grateful. I'm glad he's still around making music and being cool and doing his thing and putting out something. Prince's worst is better than most artist's best efforts. I am not bored. By the way I don't think a voicebox effect is proof of a good singer. So don't assume that. If someone can post a whole paragraph claiming boredom, then someone else can say that they are not bore without people throwing who's generation knows who a good singer in their face because that has notthing to do with the topic. I didn't assume anything about you. I said you are part of that generation. And it's completely relevant since this generation is being raised on pure unadulterated CRAP. I believe that's why all these new fans think Prince's 00s output is the second coming. Problem is they never saw Jesus the first time around..... [Edited 9/11/09 10:32am] You did assume things about me. You assumed my birth year right? You also claimed that I think a voice box effect makes a good singer. I am not a new fan. “Old” fans like some of Prince’s recent work. So your comments are not relevant.

Most people who put a year in their usernames are putting their birthdate. Let's see, according to your profile: Age: 19 Birthday: 7/17/1988 So my powers of deduction were 1 BILLION MILLION PERCENT RIGHT! and I didn't say you thought that voicebox effect was the sign of a good singer, I said your generation does. Post GenXers aren't exposed to good music anymore. Today's popular music is nothing but trash. So I can see why post GenXers think Prince is revolutionary right now. It's just that EVERYONE has the right to voice an opinion around here you see... (unless of course this opinion supports Prince, in which case it has to be humiliated and thrown to the lions...) I am but mad north-northwest

susanscourt said: Are there any songs on Lotusflow3r that you find exciting?
I think "Wall of Berlin" has absolute potential, I love the way that song builds and rocks out at the end. Crimson and Clover - although a cover, I do love it. 77 Beverley - reminds me of a song I danced to when I was in Japan, latin feel, it soothes me so to speak. No more candy for U - very cheeky, bold, and I love the very, very end - pause - take that kind of message. It makes me laugh. But in regards to your thread, I feel he lacks a really strong and distinct female voice for backing vocals, and maybe that isn't what he wanted for this album, obviously because he didn't, but for me I really noticed this. As like you I don't like commenting on someones very private art form, so I hope this doesn't come across as putting him down, because all in all I listen to both lotusflow3r and mpls quite often and enjoy them greatly. And on a good note you'll always have his previous music to listen to. Susan i really respect your opinion butt those song s you mansioned above are truly horribel...utter shitt.espeshially that No More Candy 4U song is garbage....peeps be raving about it jus becuz it reminds them a bit of some songs off of the Controversay album...thats pretty sad, actually. And I dont even likke those songs to begin with ( I dont likke Ronnie Talk To Rossia , hate Jack U Off ) ... Madhouseman hit the nail on the head.yall know it butt dont wanna admit
