Chocolate Box is Big Talk. I try to gather if Prince is just having fun with his music, or if a song like "Chocolate Box," is really an open armed invitation.
I've got a box of Chocolates...4 (Any) girl that wanna come my way? So when love soaked brainless bimbo's like I say..."Let's see it fella..." ...I wanna taste of this cosmic variety...put your mind where your sweet talk is... What is Prince gonna do with the confrontation? What is "Chocolate Box," all about? "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Good question Tame. I have no idea actually. I'll need to listen with the words, have a think and get back to you. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

Once again I think it's a song for his flame with no name Seems to have lots of clues in it for the person he's talking 2. Great song to drive 2. Proverbs 23:9

I get this song. Prince is talking a bunch of smack because his flame wasn't cooperating with him like the other women usually do. This woman is strong. She's not so impressed by him to give in to him so easily. His game is kind of weak so she's making Prince work hard before she gives him her hand. Can you believe the offensive gesture he throws her way in the Chocolate Box video? He says he doesn't have no time to waste if she ain't making bank and scared of what a brother got to say? I doubt he has Bria in mind because she studied to become a Jehovah's Witness although Prince doesn't sound too Jehovah Witness-like to me in this song. Then again maybe he does. It's just big talk Tame but maybe you can help me understand the one line: "You can try to get it but I can't let you hit it..." I can hit it too if that's what he's into but do you think Prince would poke out his booty and get freaky with me in that manner?

I know it may be my least Favorite out of the Lotus set or that reason Tame, I know it's all Huffing and Puffing but if that what he likes to brag about he'll get a lot of Chocolate Lovers coming to his candy store, then there won't be no sweet room for me,

It's about his Tootsie Roll.
When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Never heard of "woof tickets" ha, ha. It's kind of like "trash-talk," usually displayed amongst men -- kind of a "bonding" excercise. In the Chocolate Box instance though Prince is puffing out his chest talking smack - it works though--where did you say those tickets were being sold?

I thought he is pretty clearly talking about sex.
But this thread brought up a bigger question - whatever happened to the databank transcription team website that used to be at http://www.dttlyrics.com/ - I went to look for the lyrics there when the ones that came up didn't have the Q-Tip part that includes "I'm your Willy Wonka, golden ticket is yours."
