Is there a Prince version of Jerk Out in circulation?

I've only heard the Sir Casey Terry voiced Mazarati outtake.

An original Prince lyric to the song Jerk Out.....

I love that version, The Times was good, but that would have been a hot song to drop during the Parade/Dream Factory years

Like OldFriends4Sale said, it would be difficult to mistake Prince's voice with Casey's. Maybe you have a sped up version? Some of the older boots were often recorded at incorrect speeds. Casey's vox can still be heard on The Time's released Pandemonium track.

Yeah, in Morris and P's case, I think it was more P was able to imitate Morris's voice moreso than Morris sounding like Prince. I agree totally about St Paul. He did a good job evoking the Prince/Morris vocal stylings on The Family album. Especially on High Fashion and Mutiny.

Blackguitaristz I respect your posts but it's Prince's voice on the High Fashion and Mutiny demos... he takes the low as well as the high there... give them another listen... many have been hoodwinked into believing those were Paul Peterson's vocals. St Paul wasn't even singing on those demos, they were just meant to be guide vocals for him to follow.

Thanx man but I'm not hoodwinked into believing anything cuz I never stated that it was Paul singing on the High Fashion/Mutiny demos. I stated that Paul did a good job on The Family's album. I have the demos of Mutiny and High Fashion with Prince's vocals.

V nice of you to clarify, blackguitaristz...it's just that so very often far too many assume it's St Paul on vocal duties on demo recordings of High Fashion/Mutiny elaborated by Prince and meant for St Paul to be used as guides in the first place.

I see your point. However, Prince is well known to shout out names of people and places that have nothing to do with the recording/performance as yet. As evidenced by his calling out to "Dez" in Extraloveable and "Detroit" during the 1984 7th St Entry gig. The fact that he calls out "St Paul" does not mean St Paul is on those recordings.

I remember hearing Monte Moir say that P was calling the guys in to play different parts on different instrumentals for a while before the first Time Lp dropped. He said something to the effect that "everybody played a lil somethin here and there , and no one remembered who played what by the time the album came out"...

What I want to hear is P's "guide" vocal to the track "Ice Cream Castles". I heard that this version also has other lyrics that were edited out on the album version. I LOVE this track. I know many fans of The Time aren't crazy about the song. But I love the music and the melody hook. I always thought it was a good switch for The Time.
