yep ..it was just prince in the studio and just decided 2 name it as a "prince and the revolution" album ..never knew that prince played on most revolution albums himself and just gave them credit 4 things they didn't do did u?
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I'd probably say it was "Roadhouse Garden" and as far as I know there were a few live performances of the title track but nothing else.

Although I could be proven wrong. smile

No its's not the Rebels project. That was the dirty mind lineup, pre-wendy. Supposed to be a group project. It sounds like Prince mixed in with Boston/Kiss. He doesn't sing leads on any of the trax, mostly Dez. Definitely a must have.

I Know come on Mr. Pbiggrin

In an interview with Mr.Fink from a few months ago they asked if Prince would ever release the album he said they talked about it recently and if Prince was ready he was all for it getting released!

I Believe you can find part of the interview here at Dr.Fink's Wikipedia page

Here's some info on Dream Factory:

Visions 2:12 - Piano intro by Lisa

Dream Factory (Intro) 0:53 - Keyboard intro goes into a backward recording of a woman speaking which gets drowned out by some loud guitar then flows into little skit where Wendy tries to convince the bouncer at a club that she's really 21 but forgot her I.D.

Dream Factory 2:38 - Same as on Crystal Ball

Train 4:19 - Prince's version of the track he gave to Mavis Staples for her Time Waits for No One CD. Has more of an echoey train-on-the-tracks drum sound that Mavis' version is missing.

The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker 4:02 - Same as on Sign O' The Times

It 5:09 - Same as on Sign O' The Times

Strange Relationship 4:25 - No Camille voice and a longer instrumental intro but otherwise similar to the Sign O' The Times version.

Slow Love 4:22 - Same as on Sign O' The Times

Starfish And Coffee 2:46 - Same as on Sign O' The Times only without the alarm clock.

Interlude 0:59 - Jazzy guitar instrumental.

I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man 6:51 - Similar to Sign O' The Times version. Some parts are slightly rearranged.

Sign O' The Times 3:41 - Shorter version of what's on Sign O' The Times.

Crystal Ball 9:30 - Smilar to what's on Crystal Ball. Slightly shorter.

A Place In Heaven 2:43 - Unreleased (Lisa on lead vocals).

Last Heart 2:59 - Unreleased

Witness 4 The Prosecution 3:59 - Unreleased

Movie Star 4:24 - Same as on Crystal Ball

The Cross 4:42 - Same as on Sign O' The Times

All My Dreams 7:11 - Unreleased

--

I suppose it's not unreasonable to assume the unreleased tracks from Dream Factory might end up on Roadhouse Garden. I don't think any copies (or even a track list) for Roadhouse Garden leaked. However, I vaguely remember hearing that Empty Room, Splash and of couse Roadhouse Garden were supposed to be included.

There is an entire album. This was confirmed by Prince and Wendy & Lisa circa 1999-2000. It was entitled 'Roadhouse Garden'. One track, 'Splash' was released via NPGMC and is readily available.

Prince stated he wanted Wendy & Lisa to help him complete 'Roadhouse Graden' but they were not interested. Wendy & Lisa claim that Prince either did not approach them or called once then failed to follow-up (if my memory serves me).

I'm sure there is a slew of Revolution outtakes vaulted. The circulating bootlegs are just the tip of the iceberg. However, I think it is true to say that 'Roadhouse Garden' appears to be a complete album.

I would like to hear it.
