Is there any better feeling........ Than Prince appearing on stage at an aftershow?
That's the thing with those events. Will he? Won't he? share your aftershow experiences here. if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

indigo in august 07. black curtains. some stage tech comes out to twang THAT telecaster. Sureley yes. Beverley Knight for some duration (that video where they all walking up the street - classic, she played at my home town festival earlier this year).
I so wish i hadn't drank so much Becks (i can't remember any details). But yeah, it was my brother's birthday. He HAD to show up. I nearly used my lighter to melt through the plastic fishwire strings to steal the '1' from '3121' (cuz i'm a 6 not a 7). Thought better of it. Cx

I'd love to know this feeling....
I tried to make it to an aftershow with the "Musicology," show, but I was in the wrong place. I found out the next day that Prince made an appearance at another club, but he never performed. I was definitely a Blue kitty that night. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

One of the best experiences for me was the launch of NPGMC. We had no idea Prince was going to be there so we were getting up to leave and Rhonda Smith came out on stage. I was like "What is Rhonda doing here"? Sure enough, Prince followed shortly and the band launched in Uptown. Prince's surprises can be an amazing experience.

Aftershows have made my Prince experiences!
Cabaret Metro, Chicago, April 6,1993 at 4:21 a.m. - I touched his hand for the first time ever!!!!! It was also the first time I heard the song "Papa." Prince read the lyrics from his purple notebook. Prince had on sheer white pants. My face was two feet away, three at the most. Sixteen years later, that image of him vividly comes to mind. During the jam of the year tour, the aftershow was at Excalibur. Prince didn't perform, but he put in an appearance. It was after 2 a.m. I was tired than a mug, went upstairs and sort of slouched on this bench. I opened my eyes 30 minutes later and Prince was staring at me. Thank God, I wasn't drooling. Just seeing him, ten feet away, was good enough for me. One Night Alone Tour in London, October 02. The first night, he just walked around at the after "party", which was cool because I was jet lagged and haven't slept in 40 hours, so my hotel bed was calling my name. On the third night, we had to go across town to the aftershow where Prince performed for an hour. July 04, Musicology aftershow at HOB, danced on stage until his security kicked us off the stage. I was happy to leave because my feet were hurting like crazy in those heels. August 07 at Indigo, ten feet away while he rocked the house. I watched other people who had never been that close to him become mesmerized by his trio. The live performance of "Calhoun Square" was the icing on the cake. IMHO, this aftershow was better than the concert.

That's to bad... I don't think I could pass up a chance to stay up at all hours of the morning to hang out with Prince and dance my booty off. Help others get ahead. You will always stand
