We need to have at least ten of us to be able to come up with something worth investing in.

I don't mind how we do it, posting them on that website would be fine, as long as everyone is equally commited to it. I'm sick of searching for Prince TAB and finding basic chords. I mean, you're not exactly gonna go busking strumming Sexuality on an accoustic guitar, are you???? It has to be authentic like-the-record guitar TAB otherwise it's not worth it.

IF we get enough people who are prepared to contribute then maybe we could each pick two or three songs we can do and upload them when we're done. But there's no point if there's only three of us....

Yeah, that's it! Pretty expensive, huh?

What else does the programme do besides being able to create TAB??

Try to find some info on wikipedia wink If you're playing guitar or bass, it's a must have, because it works primarly as a playback. Do you want to buy it? smile

I tried to TAB out the funky guitar riff from the live version of Alphabet St. on the It Ain't Over CD, but it was so hard to hear it clearly.

I can play Tangerine exactly like the record, but at the minute I have no means of tabbing it out to share with you guys.

Maybe it would be better to *cough*download*cough* it at first..or try to find demo so you'll know if it's worth the money (yes, it is biggrin) wink.

Guitar Pro gets under your skin and before you know it you prefer the midi versions of all your favourite songs.

Actually there are now some good add-ons for real-sounding instruments.

Let's Go Crazy is a very well tab'd piece by the way.

Ok folks..I have problem with my tab of Crimson and Clover..I'm not a pro-drummer and I can't tab that snare part 1:15-1:17..Can anyone help me? What notes durations I have to use? I know it's going something like this 32th-32th-32th-32th-16th and than - I don't know. Everything I've tried sounds wrong..maybe some syncopes or triplets.. sad Can anyone help me with this?

My husband is a professional MIDI programmer/sequencer. He primarily works with Cubase.
I'll ask him to take a quick listen to the section you struggle with and perhaps he can put you on the right track.

Generally people underestimate his work but I guess you have already found out that you need some pretty good analytical skills to reproduce a song note per note wink

He sells his work online - check out his catalogue at http://www.mididesign.biz...talog.aspx and search for Prince.
If Guitar Pro can import MIDI files, you can make tabs from these MIDI files.

Zaza, it's just another 16th wink

Try seeing the last three notes as a triplet!

I'm going crazy of that song biggrin As LittleSister said, it's really difficult..Enough work for today, I'll continue tomorrow with clearer head and ears smile

A lot of tab programs are expensive but you can find, perhaps, "cheaper" alternatives on sites like the Pirate Bay and Suprnova.

I think this is a good idea, however, as a guitarist for the last 10 years, I really don't care for tabs. I know getting every note down and being able to play it is awesome, but a lot of times I feel like tab files are longer/more confusing than they have to be.

What I really dig is a lead sheet (with chords over the lyrics) that also has a few lines of tab to show some of the main riffs. cool

I've tried to play the solo from Crimson & Clover numerous times, and it's quite fun. I use my Blues Driver & Crybaby!

I'm struggling with the drum track sad I haven't had much time to work on that tab - I've had some duties on the university. I've decided I'll make tab as a mixture of the studio/live "Ellen" version. It would be easier to create wink
