Grammy Nomination for Prince! Not.
But let's hope Bruce gets that album of the year at least... Five nominations for Norah Jones, too. Cool. http://www.grammy.com http://www.cnn.com/2003/S...index.html "How embarrasing to be human!"

The grammys are pathetic these days. At one time I used to think they mattered, but I don't anymore and not because Prince doesn't get nominated. It's because they have gone the same route as all the other award shows, meaning that they base who wins/nominated on record sales. I don't want to put anyone down, but this years nominees are exactly who I thought they would be. There are no surprises at all and I am sure that Bruce and Em will win most. I can't believe that Sheryl Crows cd was nominated, it's total crap! That Alan Jackson song is so sappy it's sickening. I'm sure I will watch, but will not be routing for anyone except for maybe Marshall Mathers.

Why isn't Wilco nominated for anything? The Grammys suck ass. Alan fucking Jackson? Sheryl Crow (Soaking in the Sun is her WORST song ever...it was tailor made for a commercial) ? That Avril chick? All I gotta say is that Bruce better win it all.

The Grammys stink.
All it is nowadays is another marketing tool for the record companies.

At least Elvis Costello got nominated for some stuff. But there's no good reason Rainbow Children shouldn't have been.

The good reason for Grammy voters is that that album is not part of THE MACHINE. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

The funniest thing: some news stations were talking about the noms, mentioned Ashanti as they showed a clip of India Arie . These fools need fact checkers!

did you expect any for Prince? surely he released ONA Live too late for inclusion? and everything else he has brought out in the eligibilityt period was NPGMC only and therefore didn't get out to a wide enough audience to really ever have stood a chance anyway? ----------------------------------------------------------------------
If u set your mind free, baby, maybe you'd understand

Eminem wasn't even nominated for Lose Yourself, arguably one of the best songs last year nor was it nominated in the song from a movie category. Grammy does suck!!! Who cares??? "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

From what I understand the cutoff date was Sept. 30. so he really didn't qualify this year.
