U only listened 2 certain tracks.
It's 1 of the albums I've always enjoyed all the way through. Continuity from track 2 track works 4 me. It's my fav period/style 2! Much luv 4 Parade!

Yes Yes OH Yes Timeless, which I think most of Prince early music and any following music with similar feel/sound is. Its is purple chic I is Prince music with a parisian funk A lot of the sounds from that album still haven't been caught up to yet (same with Purple Rain though) So much too hear this album really did make Black & White really colorful and the B sides and outtakes are bang on as well

I like almost every song on the cd Parade. Great stuff.
Graffitti bridge I tended to listen only to a select few. "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

arrgghh the wendy and lisa influence
- great album, I love it, ive said many times I love its continuity its flow, it works so well as an album in the old sense of the word in that, you used to play a vinyl album all the way through, no shuffle, or party play list, no random selection of eras and genres. i think some of his more recent collections have been more like compilation albums understanding the modern world and mp3 players and ipods, he knows we all select what we want so why bother writing a story like TRC or Parade. it works on lots of levels so well. fabulous music and danceability mixed with BIG songs like mountains. the styling of the video, the movie, the album cover etc a very fine movie sound track. one of his best albums! walk with crooked shoes www.myspace/syblepurplelishous

Parade is a fantastic album!
Only probem is..... Like Around The World In A Day it's way to short! i mean WAY to short Sometimes It Snows In April is in my top 5 Prince song's of all time Life Can Be So Nice is a pretty jazzy to Mountains is funky and sweet Kiss is well Kiss lol Venus De Milo is a great bluesy instrumental Under The Cherry Moon is another jazzy piece love it Anotherloverholeinmyhead Rock's out! Just a great album but could have been longer Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Just a great album but could have been longer I agree, it is really short, moves along at a quick pace and the thing that irks me about that, (If I can be irked about this album) is that there are so many interesting sounds, I have to listen over and over to get it, and back then the headphone qualities I had don't compare 2 what I have now, and I hear stuff I didn't in 1986 Life Can Be So Nice seems similar 2 In a Large Room With No Light that hectic rendition feel the outtakes have to be listened along with this album Old Friends 4 Sale Heaven Other Hear With Us Honest Man In All My Dreams Love or Money Alexa de Paris I usually mix in the Family, Mia Bocca and certian Sheila E songs with the Parade era feel

From the way it's sung and the sparse lyrics I think it's a song about strong desire and yearning for a lover the lover is away or not available What scene in the movie was this used and what was going on? I... how U say I wonder U, I wonder U? I... how U say I wonder U, I wonder U? I dream of U 4 all time, 4 all time Though U are far I wonder U, U're on my mind I... how U say I wonder U, I wonder U? I... how U say I wonder U, I wonder U?

Lots of great memories with this one. I don't know if anyone else has this experience, but this album is really appropriate listening in the car (with good speakers) on a sunny morning.
For some reason I wound up listening to it the most in the morning to noon hours on off days in the car. It just has that airy freshness, crisp sheen, and sunny vibe like a good morning off, with all the promise of the coming day, has. Anyone else get that?

However in the 1980's I always got that from Prince coz he was a Summer releaser. So I always associated his music with better and more optimistic feelings
