Greatest Romance Ever Been Sold Ever (Remix Neptunes)

great version. I remember very well, that song was played EVERY SINGLE DAY on my favorite black radio station back in 1999...

I loved it so much that I tried to buy the CD single just to get this track... Sadly I couldn't find it anywhere (yeah it was before internet)

I just learned the Neptunes made that remix, back in the day I thought it was Timbaland... It really sounds like a Timbaland track...

Now it sounds very dated ("bouncy" typical of that time) but back in the day it sounded great, it was the first (and only) song that made me want to buy a Prince record... lol

I love that remix. It's a lot of fun to work out to also!

Although the song makes no sense to me. I have no idea what the hell he's talking about in it. But I still kinda like it.

I liked many variations of the maxi-single.

The song is actually a great song. Just not a great single

Couldn't disagree more.

It flopped because they fucked up the timing of the video by releasing it over a month after the song was on radios. It was also illegible for chart entry in Europe because of the amount of remixes on the single.

It's a shame, because this is the last of Prince's single releases that I feel had decent commercial potential. It was getting a shitload of airplay over here in the UK on all the major stations. They were playing this song literally everyday on the radios. Even my mother dug this song.

That was a great remix that should have been the single. I went to HMV (when it was still here) on Christmas day and I heard the song being played and I saw a couple of these kids dancing to this. It really made my day but it also made me wish Prince had released it to radio. Oh well. Still a great remix for that song, my favorite out of all of them.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I hate the album version of the song, but absolutely love the remixes. Q-Tip is wicked.
