high heels and getting funky Do you think if Prince had never taken to wearing high heels he might not have some of his (alleged) hip/joint problems now? Was it the heels or the dance-moves which caused his current situation?
Also, at what point in Prince's career did you notice that he had slowed/calmed down in terms of his dancing and stage antics (sliding between girls' legs, etc...)?

Don't believe the hip rumors they have obviously been around here longer than you have.

Regardless of his wearing heels, he did bust some seriously gymnastic dance shapes back in the day! However, bear in mind, our hero is 51 years old, so he, as will all of us, have some wear and tear on his hip joints. For a guy his age, he still works hard and makes great music. He definitely doesnt dance like he used to, but I don't blame him!

Any sports like behavior is going to cause stress on the bones. Prince is an active man.
Changing the height of your shoes can possibly cause just as much of a problem with your arches or your back. By the time most of us figure this out, the wear and tear on our joints has already been done. Over 40...we need to slow down. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

If I'm not mistaken, he seemed to slow down at the beginning of the new millenium. I remember him doing the splits and everything on the talk show Vibe and during the Rave Un2 concert in 1999.

I think both the dance moves and the heels have contributed to hip problems, that is IF they exist. Definitely over 40 one has to slow down, the body just doesn't recover from wear and tear like it used to "Free URself, B the best that U can B, 3rd Apartment from the Sun, nothing left to fear" Prince Rogers Nelson - Forever in my Life -

When I wear heels I can feel the strain on the knees, the ankles and the back, I've never felt it on the hips. I am but mad north-northwest

the hips problems has nothing to do with wearing the heels at all.....
wearing heels boots or shoes only can give u so much strain on the legs or ankles and back ... mainly the back cos ur standing up for a long period of time... his splits hes been doin for years can cause probs to the hips.....

I actually feel more support wearing boots with heels, not comparing the heel size to Prince's however. I own a pair of flip flops that every time I wear them walking or just out and about my ankles and legs are killing me. So, I don't really think the heels are an issue.
