A ?uestion concerning the Xpectation album.

I was just wondering if Xpectation downloadable album is actually Xenophobia??? Also I was wondering if there is a good studio quality track of Xenophobia floating around out there. I have a couple of the ONA shows where the track is preformed live but I haven`t seen a studio version. Ive checked all of the filesharing sites but no luck.
My DC Direct wishlist: 1) Bane, 2) Prof Zoom, 3) Superman Blue, 4) Kilowag, 5) Parasite

i think it's xenophobia minus the title track...
i also expect..er Xpect...an extended version with more tracks (possibly Xenophobia even) will surface as an official retail release..but..who really knows?

Haystack

I get the feeling that Xenophobia is missing because, like Days Of Wild, the live version has so much more energy than the studio version. Not as I've heard the studio version of XP, but the ONA Live version rocks and I can't possibly imagine that the studio version would have the same effect.
Just my thoughts...

I presume Xpectation will be a part of year 3 with the extra Xenophobia track much like we got parts of year 2 with the downloads. Then once again I can hear people bitching about already having paid for it.

Anything on there thats as good as Xenophobia??
Some of the instrumental stuff I find a little boring, Xenophobia on the other hand is a great track.

Yup... Xpectation is Xenophobia
minus the title track.

I agree with Haystack, I also suspect Xenophobia
was pulled from the album because the studio
version lacks the energy of the live version.

There also may be issues with Xenophobia being released as a track on ONA Live. The retail distributors would probably frown upon Prince releasing a competing studio version.

...but WB wouldn't frown upon Prince releasing competing live versions of masters they own? hmm

Prince owns the publishing on those songs and can do whatever he wants with them, since they are not the masters that Warner Bros. controls. Another point is that he wants to please his retail distributors so they'll stock his live set and doesn't care about pleasing Warner Bros.
